A group of young Native Americans stage a protest against the United States government on the Sioux Indian Reservation. They rally at the site of the massacre of Wounded Knee to focus attention on the years of deception regarding their people and eventually the event comes to a violent end.

Tad Summers (Freddie Ridgeway), son of mountain lodge owner Jim Summers (Onslow Stevens), sees Roger Wharton (Charles Chaplin Jr.) kill his supposed best friend. Tad tells his father, who doesn't believe him, but Linda Wharton (Margia Dean), Roger's wife, does and taunts him into a confession. Roger sets out to get rid of the boy.
Three sisters take their small inheritance and move from Kansas to California in search of rich husbands. To start with Pamela poses as a socialite and Moira and Elizabeth pretend to be her staff.
To prove their father was murdered, four brothers fight to bring down a powerful arms syndicate.
Mr Moto encounters mysterious goings-on on a ship bound for Shanghai. He recognises his steward as the murderer of a man in San Francisco, and catches him trying to steal an important letter from the stateroom of another passenger, Robert Hitchings. Hitchings, son of the owner of the shipping line, falls in love with Gloria, who refuses to tell him anything about her life and disappears when they arrive in Shanghai. In Shanghai, Mr Moto uncovers the secret which links the murder in San Francisco, the mysterious letter, and Gloria.
A young lawyer is unable to get a family to sign a land sale contract until their daughter falls in love with him.
