Born Pamela Anne King in New York, Pamela Bellwood studied acting at the New York Playhouse under Sandy Meisner, heralded creator of the Meisner technique of acting. Her striking good looks led to roles in the mid-1970 in television shows like the uncover cop drama "Baretta" and films such as in-flight thriller " Airport '77." She carried on with increasingly larger roles on television, mostly in TV movies like the rowdy comedic western "The Wild Women of Chastity Gulch" and the issue-centric drama "Cocaine: One Man's Seduction," until 1981 when she became a part of the original cast of the primetime soap opera "Dynasty," where she portrayed Claudia Blaisdel. She was written off the show in the third season but soon came back, and stayed on the hit series until 1986, at which point she left to focus on her family. She put in appearances here and there in TV movies and series, and in the 1990s had one-off roles on the acclaimed family drama "Life Goes On" and Angela Lansbury's detective series "Murder, She Wrote." Though her screen appearances are few and far between, Bellwood continues to perform in theater, and reunited with the "Dynasty" cast on television in 2006 for the reminiscent " Dynasty...
