Notes

There is a newsletter called "Taylorology" edited by Bruce Long which is dedicated to "A Continuing Exploration of the Life and Death of William Desmond Taylor". Copies may be accessed on the internet at http://www.angelfire.com/az/Taylorology/

In a 1922 interview with THE NEW YORK HERALD, Taylor's wife, then Mrs. E L C, Robins told the reporter that his father had been a major in the British Army and that he had two sisters and a brother.

It has been erroneously reported over the years that Taylor had an older sister named Grace. This, like much about the man, appears to be a fabrication.
