A veteran actor with over 100 titles on his resume, Scott Paulin has also directed several television projects. His stepfather was the actor Wendell K. Phillips and his mother-in law ran an acting school where he met future wife, Wendy Phillips. He got his start acting in the TV movie "Vampire," and had numerous supporting film and TV roles before securring a recurring part on the medical drama "St. Elsewhere." Other 1980s TV shows he made guest appearances on include the police show "Hill Street Blues," the remake of "The Twilight Zone," and the long-running mystery series "Murder, She Wrote." Paulin had significant roles in several films, appearing in "Pump Up the Volume," "Captain America," "The Accused," and as astronaut Deke Slayton in the critically acclaimed blockbuster "The Right Stuff." Paulin began his directing career in 1992 on the drama series "I'll Fly Away," where he also played the role of Tucker Anderson. This led to other directing work on "Northern Exposure," "Beverly Hills, 90210," and "Dawson's Creek."
