Alex Montoya was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Montoya started his acting career landing roles in such films as "Ghost of Zorro" (1949), "Hurricane Island" (1951) with Jon Hall and the adventure "King of the Congo" (1952) with Buster Crabbe. He also appeared in "The Golden Hawk" (1952) and the William Holden western "Escape From Fort Bravo" (1953). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the action movie "Passion" (1954) with Cornel Wilde, the western "Three Young Texans" (1954) with Mitzi Gaynor and "Apache Ambush" (1955). He also appeared in the Barbara Stanwyck adventurous drama "Escape to Burma" (1955). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Stagecoach to Fury" (1956) with Forrest Tucker, the Celia Kaye adventure "Island of the Blue Dolphins" (1964) and the adaptation "The Flight of the Phoenix" (1965) with James Stewart. He also appeared in "The Appaloosa" (1966) with Marlon Brando. Montoya more recently acted in the comedic adaptation "King's Pirate" (1967) with Doug McClure. Montoya passed away in September 1970 at the age of 63.
