Edgar Small was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Small began his acting career in action flicks like "Action Jackson" (1988) with Carl Weathers and the James Caan film "Alien Nation" (1988). He appeared in a number of television specials, including "My Dissident Mom" (CBS, 1986-87) and "Chain Letter" (ABC, 1988-89). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties and the nineties, appearing in the dramatic adaptation "Torch Song Trilogy" (1988) with Anne Bancroft, the adventurous drama "Blood Red" (1989) with Eric Roberts and "Another 48 Hours" (1990). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Shannon's Deal" (NBC, 1988-89). He also appeared in the TV special "The Man Who Was Death" (HBO, 1988-89). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Seinfeld" (NBC, 1989-1998). He also was featured in the TV movies "Chance of a Lifetime" (1991-92), "Father & Son: Dangerous Relations" (NBC, 1992-93) and "From the Files of Joseph Wambaugh: A Jury of One" (NBC, 1992-93). He also appeared in "Running Mates" (HBO, 1992-93) and "Somebody's Daughter" (ABC, 1992-93). Small last acted on "JKX: The Jamie Kennedy Experiment" ...

Edward set up and managed a talent agency in Hollywood during the 20s and began producing independent feature films. In 1932, he co founded Reliance Pictures and in 1938, organized his own production company. He later served as chairman of the Television Programs of America distribution company.
