William Tannen was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Tannen kickstarted his acting career in various films such as "It's in the Air" (1935), "She Couldn't Take It" (1935) with George Raft and "Crash Donovan" (1936). He also appeared in "Flight Command" (1940), "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" (1941) and "The Big Store" (1941). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the spy thriller "Pacific Rendezvous" (1942) with Lee Bowman, "Stand By For Action" (1942) and the Robert Young thriller "Joe Smith, American" (1942). He also appeared in "Woman of the Year" (1942) with Spencer Tracy. In the latter part of his career, he tackled roles in the western "Law and Order" (1953) with Ronald Reagan, the Dale Robertson western "Sitting Bull" (1954) and the drama "Woman's World" (1954) with Clifton Webb. He also appeared in the comedic adaptation "Jupiter's Darling" (1955) with Esther Williams and the musical "Jailhouse Rock" (1957) with Elvis Presley. Tannen was most recently credited in the Chuck Norris action film "Hero and the Terror" (1988). Tannen passed away in December 1976 at the age of 65.
