Napoleon Whiting was an actor who made a successful career for himself in film. Whiting began his career with roles in "The Big Clock" (1948), "Giant" (1956) and the dramatic adaptation "Imitation of Life" (1959) with Lana Turner. Later, Whiting acted in the comedy "Clarence, the Cross-Eyed Lion" (1965) with Marshall Thompson, "The Big Valley" (ABC, 1965-69) and "Carter's Army" (ABC, 1969). He also appeared in "Trouble Comes to Town" (1972-73), the action flick "Black Samson" (1974) with Rockne Tarkington and the Robert Mitchum noir "Farewell, My Lovely" (1975). Whiting was most recently credited in "Goldie and the Boxer" (NBC, 1979-1980). Whiting passed away in March 1948 at the age of 38.
