British-American director Colin Bucksey has worked on numerous TV programs in both England and the United States Bucksey began his career as a camera operator and focus puller on documentaries such as the David Hockney feature, "A Bigger Splash," in 1973. He began his directing career on English productions such as the dramas "Couples" and "Crown Court" in '76. He directed a four-part episode of the mystery "Armchair Thriller" and was nominated for a BAFTA for his work on the children's series "Educating Marmalade" in '83. In the United States, he directed episodes of the groundbreaking detective drama "Miami Vice" and the crime drama "Wiseguy." He rarely worked in film but did direct "Dealers" in 1989, a drama set in an investment firm, starring Rebecca De Mornay, and the crime feature "Death Merchants" in 1991. He also directed Michael York and Jacqueline Bisset in the family saga "September," a TV movie that came out in 1996. Other TV shows he has directed multiple episodes for include "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service," "The 4400," and the cable drama "Breaking Bad."
