Actor Barry Cahill appeared in a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Cahill started off his acting career mostly in film roles, appearing in the Paul Newman dramatic adaptation "Sweet Bird of Youth" (1962), the Barbara Parkins dramatic adaptation "Valley of the Dolls" (1967) and the Clint Eastwood western "Hang 'Em High" (1968). He also appeared in the Jean Simmons drama "The Happy Ending" (1969) and the Jim Brown dramedy "Tick, Tick, Tick" (1970). He also appeared in the TV movie "Sarge: The Badge or the Cross" (NBC, 1970-71). Cahill worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "M*A*S*H" (CBS, 1972-1983). Cahill focused on television in more recent years, appearing on "The Young and the Restless" (CBS, 1972-2015) and "Kolchak: The Night Stalker" (ABC, 1974-75). He also starred in the TV movies "The President's Plane Is Missing" (1973), "The Big Ripoff" (NBC, 1974-75) and "The Invasion of Johnson County" (NBC, 1975-76). Later, he earned a role in the action flick "Coffy" (1973) with Pam Grier.
