Story about two working-class sisters who grew up along the Jersey Shore. After five years of estrangement, the older sibling--en route to Riker's Island Prison for welfare fraud--shows up on her younger sister's doorstep, leading to a resumption of their relationship.

Hard to Hold (1984)
Pretentious claptrap clothed in a 1984 rock-music love story that never goes beyond the superficial. Springfield is a highly successful rock songwriter-performer. While driving in his car, he meets Eilber, a tense child psychologist. The two quickly fall in love, and he pursues her around San Francisco until he catches her. Interspersed with the insipid love story is a subplot about Springfield''s having songwriter''s block.

Three workers, Zeke, Jerry and Smokey, are working at a car plant and drinking their beers together. One night when they steal away from their wives to have some fun they get the idea to rob the local union's bureau safe. First they think it is a flop, because they get only 600 dollars out of it, but then Zeke realizes that they also have gotten some 'hot' material. They decide to blackmail their union. The best reason for that is the union itself. All three are provoked by the fact that the union claims to have lost 10,000 dollars by their robbery.
