Beloved child actress Ja'Net DuBois started her entertainment career at the tender age of six. DuBois's acting career began mostly with her roles in various films, such as "Five on the Black Hand Side" (1973), the comedy "A Piece of the Action" (1977) with Sidney Poitier and the Keenen Ivory Wayans action movie "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka" (1988). She also was featured in the miniseries "The Blue Knight" (1973-74). She had a part on the television special "J.T." (CBS, 1969-1970). She worked in series television while getting her start in acting, including a part on "Love of Life" (CBS, 1951-1980). In the nineties, DuBois devoted her time to various credits, such as "Heart Condition" (1990), "Penny Ante" (1990) and the Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone hit "Basic Instinct" (1992)She also worked on "Who's the Man?" (1993). DuBois's music was also featured in the comedy sequel "Next Friday" (2000) with Ice Cube, "Hanging Up" (2000) with Meg Ryan and "The X-Files: I Want to Believe" (2008). In addition to her music, DuBois also appeared on-screen in the drama "Waterproof" (1998) with Burt Reynolds and the Cameron Diaz box office smash action flick "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" (2003).
