Kathleen Gati was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in her acting career, Gati landed roles in various films, including the crime picture "Ms. 45" (1981) with Zoe Lund, "Mr. Universe" (1987) with Laszlo Szabo and the comedic adventure "Forever, Lulu" (1987) with Hanna Schygulla. She also appeared in "Sos Halunk Meg" (1993), the dramatic adaptation "The Wondrous Voyage of Kornel Esti" (1995) with Gabor Mate and "Franciska Vasarnapjai" (1997). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the early 2000s, appearing in the Burt Reynolds comedy "The Hollywood Sign" (2002), the Sam Jones III dramatic adaptation "ZigZag" (2002) and the Kieran Culkin comedy "Igby Goes Down" (2002). She also appeared in the John Ritter drama "Man of the Year" (2003). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the Kevin Kline dramatic adaptation "Trade" (2007), the comedy "The House Bunny" (2008) with Anna Faris and "Retrace" (2011). She also appeared in the Shia LaBeouf box office smash action movie "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" (2011). Most recently, Gati voiced characters in the Melissa McCarthy hit action-packed comedy "Spy" (2015).
