The second website I ever made was dedicated to him back in 1999. I had the opportunity to communicate with Mr Franz through the mail and he was delighted at the prospect of a website being made in his honor. He was a very gracious man and I am very happy to have known him for a brief time. Even though he retired from the movies in 1981 he was always appreciative of his supporters. There weren't too many actors like him. He is greatly missed by me. Love you always Mr Franz, RIP.
Saw your note online - I also posted one cause my father went to school with Arthur Franz. My brother and I were discussing him the other day and with modern technology I decided to see if he was on google and he was. I posted my comments. Nice to see you thought he was a good actor.
My father went to school with Arthur Franz
As a child my father would always proudly boast that he went to school (?college) with Arthur Franz. We were always mezmerized by this. I had some memories today and thought of Arthur Franz and googled him and came up with many articles written about him. My father has also passed away, but he was also born in 1920 in Dalton Massachusetts. It was good to see that Arthur Franz carried on in his career for quite a long spell. I currently have a daughter at a London acting school and do wonder how her future will fair in this very competitive world we now live in. My father's name was John Flynn.
A truely overlooked talent

I grew up watching Arthur Franz in classic films like Hellcats Of The Navy, Monster on Campur, Flame Barrier, Invaders From Mars, The Sniper and hundreds of tv shows. He was a great performer and passed away on June 17th 2006. He will be missed.
