Biography CLOSE THE FULL BIOGRAPHY

Adorable African-American tyke made his big-screen debut at age eight as Burt Reynold's co-star in the action comedy, "Cop and a Half" (1993). Noticeably talented and outgoing from the age of three, Golden entertained the customers at his grandmother's beauty salon with his mimicry and monologues. This prompted his mother to enroll the child in a Burbank-based TV commercial workshop to which they flew each week from Charlotte, North Carolina. Golden's entertainment career began in 1991 when his parents' jobs were relocated to L.A. His work in commercials led to a 1992 guest spot on Fox's "True Colors," a short-lived interracial family sitcom. This in turn led to Golden being considered for a recurring role. However, when the casting directors of "Cop and a Half" saw Golden's audition tape, they arranged for him to take a screen test with Burt Reynolds. He passed with flying colors and found himself in the movie business.
