Academy Award-winner Eleanore Griffin captivated countless audiences with her awe-inspiring screenplays. Griffin's career beginnings can be traced back to writing for films such as the dramatic sports film "Thoroughbreds Don't Cry" (1937) with Judy Garland. She succeeded this honor with the script for "Blondie in Society" (1941) with Penny Singleton. In the latter half of her career, Griffin wrote the Jennifer Jones dramatic adaptation "Good Morning, Miss Dove" (1955), "Imitation of Life" (1959) with Lana Turner and "Third Man on the Mountain" (1959). She also appeared in the Susan Hayward dramatic adaptation "Back Street" (1961). Griffin more recently wrote the dramatic adaptation "One Man's Way" (1964) with Don Murray. Griffin passed away in July 1995 at the age of 91.
