Margaret Hamilton is the signature of the "Wizard of Oz" there were others of course all brilliant in their own way. However, she embodied the Wicked Witch of the West like no other. She emanated strength and independence and was ahead of her time as an actress. She had a long and interesting life and stayed in acting until the end. Margaret we miss you but you live on forever..........

She had her days of being "Cora" the kindly "Maxwell House Coffee Lady" after her famous role as opposite Wicked Witch of the West in "The Wizard Of Oz" I liked her character the best, those eyebrows, sinister, that laugh! The cackle! The green face, long hair and hat. No black cat, I was surprised at that. She made a fabulous 'Wicked Witch' I couldn't ask for better, I wish she was still with us!

Iwill always remember her in some movieswhen I was a little girl. She had the best voice that we still try to immitate when we want to sound like a witch " My Pretty". Great coffee commercial too. I really liked her.

Lovely Margaret Hamilton. I actually used have a studio photo of her in which she is quite beautiful...Long hair, radiant eyes, and a warm smile that made my heart go pitter-pat. It's a shame she is described as plain...She was anything but and her most famous role proved that. I love to think that "Wicked" is in part the way she should have gotten to play the Witch. Though I wouldn't trade the original for anything.

She was a scene stealer without even trying. I challenge anyone not to notice when she would come on screen. Quite often upstaging the principal actors.
