Washington, D.C.-based producer who specialized in educational programming and began his career with Andy Warhol at The Factory. Goodwin worked on the controversial documentary series, "An American Family" (1973) and co-founded State of the Art, Inc., an award-winning production company. Goodwin's production credits include "Ellington Live!," a program showcasing students at Duke Ellington's School of the Arts, and "We Dig Coal," a tribute to women coal miners. His final project was the Oscar-winning short documentary "Educating Peter," about a Down's syndrome child.
