Gone, not forgotten
How I love all of the Andy Hardy movies. I love them so much, even though I purchased the whole set, I eagerly watch each episode every time you show them on TCM just as if it was the first time. These times, I am afraid, are gone forever. Thankfully, you at TCM keep them alive for new folks as long as there is a TCM. Thank you so much. Mickey Rooney and the rest were all so wonderful in each of the beautiful, funny, and touching stories. Thank you TCM. Please, never stop showing this series and all the other beautiful stories like them.
Well Played Mickey Rooney, Well Played.
I have to admit I really like the Andy Hardy movies. Even though they're very formulaic I think Rooney does such a wonderful job in doling out lighthearted comedy. His facial expressions are just spot on when it comes to making a scene funny. I just can't help but like the guy and I'm generally not overly sentimental when it comes to sweet films like these. There are certain stabilizers I like to have in my life at times: The Andy Griffith Show, The Beverly Hillbillies, and an Andy Hardy movie. Balance achieved.
Judge Hardy and Son (1939)
Sweet episode in the Andy Hardy series. Andy has girl issues as he always seems to have, as well as money issues. Good story, well acted and very entertaining.
