The print viewed was missing the first and last reels. The plot summary for those parts was based on a screen continuity in the Twentieth Century-Fox Produced Scripts Collection at the UCLA Theater Arts Library. This was the first of the "Camera Daredevils" series, which, at the time, was the sixth series in progress at the Twentieth Century-Fox "B" lot on Western Avenue. Variety commented that "succeeding pictures must clear up the Donlevy booze-guzzling or the series will wind up in short order." The studio produced only one other film in the series, the 1939 Chasing Danger, directed by Richard Cortez, and starring Preston Foster as "Steve Mitchell," Wally Vernon again as "Waldo," and Lynn Bari in a new role.
